Para USA Tactical Target Rifle
One of the announcements that took me by surprise at last year's SHOT Show was that Para Ordnance, the Canadian firm best known for its line of high-capacity 1911s, was introducing a new AR-style rifle.

Kahr Arms CW45 Pistol
The newest fighting pistol in the Kahr line is CW45, chambered for…what else?…the .45 ACP. While it looks very similar to the earlier P45, the CW45 is intended as an economy model.

Ruger LCP Pistol
It was no problem keeping all of my shots from the LCP in the important part of a TQ-15 standard police silhouette target at three, seven, and 15 yards. And that's all anyone really needs from this sort of weapon.

FN Herstal FNP-45 Duty Pistol
For a couple of years now, Belgium's FN Herstal has been working to secure a significant slice of the American market for law enforcement duty pistols. The Belgian company, which makes the legendary Browning Hi-Power pistol, launched its first polymer police handgun, the FNP-9 (9mm), back in 2006. The FNP is now available in 9mm, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, and .45 ACP.

DPMS Panther Mini SASS Rifle
So successful was the 7.62 x 51mm rifle designed for the military that DPMS officials decided to build a 5.56 x 45mm version of the gun. Called, appropriately enough, the Mini SASS, this new rifle has many of the same features that made its big brother so popular.

SIG Sauer P250 Modular Pistol
With its new P250, SIG Sauer has embarked upon a completely novel concept in semi-automatic handguns—the modular pistol. The P250 is based upon a polymer grip module and metal frame/fire control assembly. This assembly is in fact the “pistol,” as it bears the serial number, which can be removed and inserted into another grip module.

Kriss-TDI Super V Vector
You've probably seen the Kriss Super V Vector SMG on the popular television show "Future Weapons" or perhaps read about it in Popular Science. This new submachine gun has generated a huge amount of interest because of its radically different operating system that reduces the effects of recoil and also controls muzzle climb.

Smith & Wesson 327 TRR8 Revolver
The S&W 327 Tactical Rail Revolver is best suited to be used by the lead penetrator of a SWAT team, especially since this revolver carries as many rounds of ammunition as the average .45 ACP 1911.

Walther Police Pistol Slim (PPS)
I was really impressed with the 9mm model of the PPS. Its captive dual recoil spring and excellent ergonomics combine to make an extremely soft shooting pistol. In fact, it's the softest shooting subcompact pistol that I have ever tested.

Kahr PM45
Its slim measurements and short height make the PM45 perfect for its intended role as a concealed carry gun. Despite its diminutive size and light weight, this pistol is controllable and effective. Kahr has redefined the criteria by which we judge concealable handguns.
