Police said Damion McRae, 37, shot Grubbs in the abdomen outside a Gilbert Avenue apartment complex in Walnut Hills. Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley called the shooting an attempted "assassination" and "ambush."

CA Chief: Officers were Saved from Mass Murder when Man's Rifle Jammed

A man wearing body armor pointed a semi-auto rifle at two police officers in a California Starbucks, only to have the weapon malfunction before he fled and was shot by the officers nearby, police said Monday.
