10 Houston Gang Suspects Nabbed in Federal Drug Case
Ten suspected members of the so-called Houstone street gang, a local prison gang offshoot, are in custody and authorities announced Wednesday they are seeking four more men on federal drug dealing conspiracy charges that could lead to the forfeiture of $18 million in high-end cars, jewelry and cash.

NYPD and Federal Marine Experts Search for Missing US Airways Engine in Hudson
Police harbor officers are using sonar-equipped boats and working with a sonar expert from the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration as they search the area where the plane came down Thursday, near the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. The NYPD is also monitoring the river from the air because sensitive equipment could be damaged by ice and must be removed if the river gets too icy.

In one of his final acts in office, President Bush on Monday commuted the controversial prison terms of two former U.S. Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting an unarmed Mexican drug smuggler who fled across the Rio Grande, away from a van loaded with 743 pounds of marijuana.

Mexican cartels have taken over most of the drug trade in the United States, and are working with 20 gangs, including the Barrio Aztecas, according to a just-released report by the National Drug Intelligence Center titled, "National Drug Threat Assessment 2009."

In Missouri, the cards feature details about unsolved murders, missing persons and fugitives. Missouri State Patrol Sgt. Jason Clark said his agency had enough cold cases to fill several 52-card decks. So they had to be selective. The Brooks case has frustrated authorities because the young girl is believed to be dead and her body has never been found, despite promising suspects over the years.
