A Douglasville, Georgia, police officer was seriously injured in a crash Monday, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
GSP said the Douglasville police officer was traveling south on SR 61 in a marked patrol vehicle when the crash happened, Atlanta News First reports.
The State Patrol said the car “was negotiating a curve and left the west side of the roadway,” and then struck a power pole, damaging its front.
GSP said the officer was extracted from the vehicle and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
