Three off-duty officers with the New York Police Department are being credited with saving the life of a man who had suffered an apparent heart attack late last week.
The agency said on Facebook that the officers were enjoying an outing at a bowling alley when they witnessed a man suffer a medical emergency several lanes away from their own.
"The officers immediately began performing chest compressions and then ran to get a defibrillator when they still didn't feel his pulse," the agency said on Facebook. "After using the defibrillator, they continued chest compressions until he regained consciousness. Thanks to Officers Cucuzza, Glorioso, and Desiderio, this man got a second chance at life!"
