St. Louis Police Chief Robert Tracy and a sergeant arrested a carjacking suspect after the funeral of Officer David Lee Saturday afternoon.
The Chief and Sergeant were driving when the Real-Time Crime Center broadcast a License Plate Reader hit on a vehicle wanted in connection with an armed carjacking, First Alert 4 reports.
Around 3:35 p.m., Chief Tracy and the Sergeant spotted the vehicle. The duo exited their police SUV and announced themselves as police officers before taking a woman and man to Central Patrol for questioning. Police said the man admitted to being involved in the incident.
