Maine Police in Labor Dispute Shed Duty Uniforms in Favor of T-Shirts
Lewiston, ME, police union representatives say that officers are ditching their uniforms to show 'dissatisfaction' over contract negotiations with the city. Officers debuted the dark green shirts last week saying that there will be no interruption in police services, but "they are hoping to make a strong statement," according to a report. LAPD Releases Footage of Officers Shooting Knife Wielding Man After Ineffective Less-Lethal Deployment
A man suspected of stabbing his wife withstood beanbag rounds, a TASER deployment, and numerous gunshots but kept coming at officers, according to body camera footage released by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). More here.

Texas Officer Who Worked 32 Years Without a Sick Day Retires
Senior Patrol Officer Ronald "Pookie" Hall of the Texas City (TX) Police Department — who never took a sick day in his 32 years on the job — was celebrated by colleagues on his final day on duty. The final radio call was captured on camera and posted to the police department's Facebook page. Hall returned the call, "8125, clear" as he tapped his chest with some emotion as officers applauded. Arkansas Police Chief Wounded in Shooting that left the Subject Dead
Chief Chad Henson of the the Trumann (AR) Police Department was injured in a shooting while responding to a call for help at the home of a man named Johnny Kelley. Kelley reportedly began started shooting at Chief Henson when Henson arrived to the scene. Henson returned fire, killing Kelley, according to Arkansas State Police. More here.

Alabama Officer Indicted on Murder Charge in Fatal Shooting
Despite the fact that an Incident Review Board cleared all three officers of any wrongdoing — saying that all officers involved had performed within Huntsville Police Department policies, procedures, and training — Madison County District Attorney Robert Broussard decided to present the case to a grand jury. Bizarre Road Rage Incident Between Police Cruiser and Car
A video has surfaced of a bizarre road range incident between a Nissan sedan and a Mirimar (FL) Police Department vehicle on a South Florida highway. Police say that the incident was the result of a domestic dispute between Miramar police officer Ashley Abreu and the father of her children, Roberto Zaldivar, who was in the Nissan. South Carolina Pursuit Ends With Driver Ejected From SUV
Deputies from the Florence County (SC) Sheriff's Office were led on a lengthy and dangerous pursuit of a 24-year-old woman driving a black SUV. The chase ended when police performed a PIT maneuver. The driver—a woman identified as Brittany Jeffords—was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over on the highway. More Here.
