Data from a recent study shows that white and African-American officers alike hold a stronger subconscious bias against African-American suspects — and that they are now overcompensating for that bias, becoming more hesitant to shoot minority suspects. Man Who Killed N.Y. Officer, Driver Gets Life in Prison
A parolee convicted of killing a Nassau County, N.Y., police officer during a traffic stop and then a motorist while he was fleeing was sentenced Friday to life in prison.
