An officer with the Houston (TX) Police Department is either incredibly lucky, or incredibly good. Surveillance camera footage shows the officer shooting at an armed man at a gas station on Saturday night—the gun then flies from the suspect's hand.

Pennsylvania State Helicopter Called to Quell Unruly Crowd at College Football Game
A Pennsylvania State police helicopter was called in to hover low over a tailgate party prior to the Penn State football game against Ohio State on Saturday. According to WGAL-TV, the helicopter was called when party-goers started "getting out of hand" and tailgaters had ignored commands from police on the ground to disperse.

Baltimore Police Release BWC Footage of Deadly Gunfight
Officer Lippe was struck by three bullets; one hit his body camera, another was deflected by his bullet-proof vest and a third nicked his elbow, police said. Footage from Lippe’s camera was destroyed in the shooting. More Here.

The Colorado Springs Police Department posted a "First Responder Trick Shot Video" to the department's Facebook page featuring police officers from CSPD, Parker Police Department, Fountain Police Department, Greenwood Village Police Department, Castle Rock Police Department, Jefferson County Sherriff Office, and El Paso Sherriff Office—performing trick shots with darts, hockey sticks, basketballs, and yes… firearms.

Florida K-9 Takes Down Man Suspected of Attempted Kidnaping
Body-worn video showed the K-9—named "Titan"—grab and hold onto 24-year-old Kevin Wilson, who had reportedly climbed into a second-story window, grabbed a child and fled. K-9 "Titan" and his handler found the suspect in a wooded area and took him into custody.

Inidana Officer Collapses and Dies Following Pursuit of Suspect Car Thief
Officer David Tinsley of the Fort Wayne (IN) Police Department reportedly died from Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease according to an autopsy report issued Wednesday morning from the Allen County Coroner's Office. Fort Wayne Police Chief Steve Reed called Tinsley "a cop's cop." More here.

LAPD Releases Video of Officer Shot at Point Blank Range During Traffic Stop
The Los Angeles Police Department has released video on YouTube from a July shooting at a traffic stop that left an officer with a gunshot wound to her leg. The agency released the 10-minute video under a new policy that requires such recordings to be made public within 45 days of an officer-involved shooting. Cincinnati Police Respond to Active Shooter in Bank Lobby
The Cincinnati (OH) Police Department has released body-worn camera footage of four officers responding to an active shooter in a bank lobby last week. The officers—identified as Officer Jennifer Chilton, Officer Antonio Etter, Officer Eric Kaminsky, and Police Specialist Greg Toyeas—were responding to 911 calls saying that a man had opened fire on people at the Fifth Third Bank Center lobby on Fountain Square.

A woman who allegedly led police in Texas on a high-speed crashed into another vehicle and—carrying a baby in a car safety seat—allegedly attempted to carjack another vehicle. Video of the entire incident was captured by a pursuing police helicopter. More here.

Helicopter Video Captures Gunfight Between Texas Trooper and Suspect
Video of a harrowing incident involving a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper that occurred in February has just been released. The trooper and a suspect exchanged gunfire following a brief pursuit. The suspect—later identified as 33-year-old Ernest Manuel Montelongo—subsequently died. The trooper is "recovering and doing well," according to KSAT-TV. More here.
