Heavily Armed Gunman Shoots La. Deputy In Sheriff's Office

A heavily armed Louisiana man opened fire in his local sheriff's office, wounding a deputy before he was wounded by returned fire from other deputies.

John W. Futrell, 52, of Colfax entered the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigative Division shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, reports The Town Talk.
