POLICE Magazine and Adobe Offer Distance-Learning Training

The seminar will focus on the benefits of Adobe Connect, which allows law enforcement agencies to train their force using distance-learning tools. This allows departments to offer training without needing to coordinate a time that brings everyone together in one physical location.

POLICE Magazine and Adobe Systems are jointly offering an online seminar at no cost to law enforcement personnel around their Adobe Connect software used to create information and general presentations, online training materials, Web conferencing, learning modules, and user desktop sharing.

The Web-based seminar will be at 11 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on July 22.

The seminar will focus on the benefits of Adobe Connect, which allows law enforcement agencies to train their force using distance-learning tools. This allows departments to offer training without needing to coordinate a time that brings everyone together in one physical location.

Adobe Connect is interactive with chat features, polls, quizzes and can be viewed anywhere with an Internet connection and/or on an on-demand basis.

The webinar will cover how an agency can:

  • Sharply reduce the costs of essential in-service training.
  • Deliver time-sensitive training in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Coordinate an effective emergency management response among dispersed organizations.
  • Ensure that interrupted or segmented training is no longer lost training.
