Images that are not taken in a controlled environment, like CCTV, ATM or social media pictures, are still usable thanks to advances in facial recognition technology. Most of the time, these images require some editing that can be done using photo editing software or directly in the facial recognition application depending on the software’s capabilities. Note that if the majority of the face is obstructed by a mask, bandanna, or large glasses it is most likely unusable.
