FBI: Navy Gunman Used Shotgun in Rampage

September 17, 2013  |

Aaron Alexis used a legally purchased 12-gauge shotgun to kill 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard Monday morning and likely picked up a Glock handgun from one of his victims, according to the FBI.

FBI Assistant Director Valerie Parlave told reporters Alexis walked in to Building 197 with a Remington 870 shotgun. Alexis purchased the weapon at a Lorton, Va., gun shop, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Alexis didn't have an AR-15 rifle as several news outlets reported Monday. Two additional weapons were found on Alexis, including a Glock semi-automatic handgun, reports the Washington Times.

The fear of untruthful liberal reporting is starting to purify. Thanks to ............

What no "automatic weapon" (AR-15 of course is semi-auto legal civilian version) but even that wasn't correctly reported. Once again the failure of the system to correctly connect the dots re. an obviously mentally disturbed individual are missed and the headlines for the biased media only attempts to focus on the weapon as if it could fire itself ! Also, once again a soft-target (ever since Clinton issued orders restricting weapons on bases) with arguably some very well trained individuals located thereon is left 'defenseless' by those who have 24/7 secret svc. protection for life. Higher ups need to realize they cannot continue to leave trained individuals defenseless in these scenarios and as we all know they're virtually free from liability no matter how brainless the policy setters act. Think anyone (press?) will ask Clinton if he now sees the error of his decision at his next publicity stop promoting" Hillary the who cares" candidates' future run for POTUS ??!!

In the long, long list of destructive things clinton did while in the White House, near the top has to be his decree that firearms could not be possessed on a military installation except by those on official duty supposedly so everyone would be safe and secure. That ridiculous prohibition sure made Fort Hood and the naval base nice safe places just like "gun free" zones make schools, theaters, and churches, etc., safe. It will be interesting and probably scary to see how these latest killings will be twisted for political gain and continuing smoke screen for Benghazi, Fast and Furious and more as the obama/media mill churns out their version of what actually took place and who was behind it. Shucks, I wanted to go get one of those AR-15 shotguns some in the media were reporting as the weapon used. Such ignorance and making it up as you go by so-called "reporters" is inexcusable and misleading to a public that doesn’t know any better.
