Kelly Thomas' Father Sues Fullerton, Officers
July 05, 2012
|
The father of the homeless man who was fatally beaten by Fullerton (Calif.) Police officers filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the city and six officers on the anniversary of his son's death.
Ron Thomas is seeking unspecified damages for the death of Kelly Thomas, who died as a result of wounds from the officers. Thomas' chest was compressed and blood from his facial wounds entered his lungs.
The city has moved to terminate Officers Manuel Anthony Ramos, Joe Wolfe, and Cpl. Jay Cicinelli. In May, the city agreed to a $1 million settlement with Kelly's mother, Cathy Thomas.

Okay, if these 'parents' were so concerned about their wonderful son, why was he living on the street instead of in their home with them? All they want is Blood Money, period. I do not remember all the specifics but it did not seem to me very clear cut that these Officers used excessive force to me.
