Man Accused of Killing Texas Officer Hospitalized

A man accused of fatally shooting of Austin (Texas) Police officer Jaime Padron at a north Austin Walmart last month has been hospitalized.

Brandon Montgomery Daniel, 24, was hospitalized over the weekend, reports KTXS. Prosecutors say a Friday hearing in the case has been postponed until June 13. Daniel is charged in the April 6 shooting death of Padron, an Austin senior police officer, who was responding to a call about a drunk man inside the store.
