N.C. Deputy Killed In Crash Assisting Another Officer

A Greene County (N.C.) Sheriff's deputy was killed when his cruiser left the road while responding to another deputy who had asked for assistance.
The cruiser of Deputy David Jennings Dawson III, 21, swerved and left the roadway on Highway 903 at Crowfoot Road, about three miles south of Snow Hill.
Investigators found 20-30 feet of skid marks leading to the tree.
