Wounded California Officer Returns Home After 7 Weeks In Hospital

The Fremont (Calif.) PD officer shot twice in the pelvis while attempting to arrest a gang member is now resting at home, after a seven-week hospital stay involving multiple surgeries and an initial infusion of 60 units of blood.
Officer Todd Young, 39, was shot twice by Andrew Barrientos, 20, on Aug. 27 when the officer tried to arrest the known gang member in East Oakland during a multi-agency task force warrent service mission, reports SFGate.com.
