25 Bicycle Cops Arrest Couple for Public Sex

June 27, 2013  |

A couple engaged in an afternoon tryst in Naylor's Run Park got caught with their pants down by not one—but 25 police officers earlier this week.

Richard McBride, 37, and Jennifer Harvey, 41, in the Westbrook Park section of Upper Darby were fully dressed as they were arraigned Wednesday. The pair reportedly was discovered 4:22 p.m. Tuesday June 25 on a softball field bench in Naylor's Run Park, Garrett Road.

"She had her pants off and he had his pants down to his ankles, and they were having sex when the (group of bicycle) police rode into the park," Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. "Imagine their surprise. Both the couple and the bike officers were surprised."

Back in the day if they were adults engaged in consensual sex they would be FI'd and sent on their way. Obviously, bike cops have way too much spare time.
