A Bay County (Fla.) Sheriff's lieutenant relayed a pressing question to a 911 dispatcher, his girlfriend, over the police scanner earlier this week. He asked her to marry him.

Lt. Rad Nelson asked Elizabeth Ann Cook to switch to a tactical channel and then popped the question, "Elizabeth Ann Cook from the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul I want to ask you, will you marry me?"

He had a few butterflies when he asked the question, he told WJHG. She answered, "Of course. 10-4."
