Off-Duty NYPD Cop Kills Thug, Wounds One to Prevent Robbery Attempt at Posh Chinatown Condo

An off-duty NYPD detective shot one razor-wielding robber dead and badly wounded another at a luxury condo building in Chinatown Wednesday night, police said.

Det. Martin Carrano was slashed on the neck and back during the battle in the lobby of 123 Baxter St., cops said.
