The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund has posted on its Website the names of the 382 fallen officers that will be officially dedicated on the Memorial during the 19th Annual Candlelight Vigil on Sunday, May 13, 2007.

This year during National Police Week the names of the 145 officers who died in the line of duty in 2006 will be added to the memorial wall in Washington, D.C., along with the names of 237 previously fallen officers, some from the early 1800s, that have been verified by the NLEOMF's research staff.

The 145 new officer names being added to the Memorial this year is down seven percent from the 2005 number and is the lowest annual total since 1999, when 143 fallen heroes were added. Please note that the 382 names will not be available in the organization’s online database search until they have been engraved on the Memorial Wall.
