As they were patrolling near East 183rd Street, they noticed two suspicious persons walking with ski masks covering their faces. The officers drove toward the two suspects intending to stop them when one of the suspects reportedly turned without warning.

Heroic CT Officer Honored by WWE
Bristol police officer Alex Iurato was one of three officers who responded to a domestic disturbance call that turned out to be an ambush. Two other officers were killled. Even though he was wounded, Iurato was able to reach cover behind patrol vehicles and fired a shot at the suspect and killed him.
