Augustin Zambrano, the highest ranking member of the Latin Kings, has received 60 years in federal prison for racketeering, narcotics trafficking, and other violent crimes. Zambrano, a "corona" of the Almighty Latin King Nation, was responsible for overseeing the illegal activities of all factions of the powerful street gang that counts about 10,000 members in Illinois.

If I worked a gang unit in your area, I would send plainclothes officers inside to monitor any Lowrider shows near your jurisdiction. I would also watch carefully and stop in unannounced at your local Lowrider custom shop. These shops are often also stolen car chop shops.

A federal grand jury has indicted 51 people allegedly associated with the Azusa 13 street gang, accusing them of harassing and terrorizing blacks in the Los Angeles County city of Azusa in incidents dating back to 1992.

Oakland Norteño Named In Injunction Arrested With Rifle Strapped to Chest
Since police filed the case in October, 15 of 40 members named in a gang injunction have been arrested, including one in a court room. The injunction bars the men from hanging out together in a 2-square-mile "safety zone" and imposes a 10 p.m. curfew.
