The Russell County Sheriff's Department and Phenix City Police Department (in Alabama) are using a Justice Department grant to add in-car video to patrol vehicles. The agencies are upgrade to new Digital Ally camera gear and replacing Sony cancorders mounted to the dashboards. The new systems will improve reliability, deliver better quality video, and free up space in the squad car.

Digital Ally produced this promo to show the features of the DVF-500, a digital video system integrated into an aluminum flashlight. A wide-angle lens allows recording without careful aiming and pre-event recording allows up to 60 seconds before pressing the record button to also be recorded. We included it in our photo gallery of duty flashlights.
