Police chief Art Acevedo stressed that the department did not have any indication that the crash was, in fact, a homicide, but said his department was investigating it as such to enable it to be approached with a “wide net.”

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says the plane known as Sheriff One was on a call in the area, assisting with the arrest of a man who was brandishing a handgun. The man was arrested and the plane was leaving the call when it crashed into the side of a mountain ridge. More Here.
