Columbus Police Plan Increased Security for Pride Festival

In response to the deadly shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando Sunday, Columbus (OH) Division of Police Chief Kim Jacobs announced on Monday that there will be "significantly more" police officers present for Pride festivities in the city, which will start Friday and run through Sunday.

Mina said the off-duty officer engaged in a shoot-out with Mateen up until more officers arrived. Additional police officers arrived and also engaged the suspect, and “forced him to stop shooting and retreat to the bathroom where he had some hostages.” More Here.
