Always remember we need to Immobilize, Control, Handcuff, and then Search. Once handcuffed, search the subject's immediate area where he or she can retrieve a weapon while handcuffed. Experts say when we interact with others we are always "leaking" with our face or body what we are thinking or feeling. My wife, the Sarge, has a way of refusing to acknowledge what I am saying and demanding to know what I am actually "thinking," since I'm apparently a pretty bad "leaker."

New York Officer Pulls Girl From Frozen Bay
Officer DeMatteo suffered a severe asthma attack once his adrenaline rush subsided and the effects of the icy water and his exertion registered with his body. He was already at the hospital at that point and they were able to treat him and release him after 12 hours.
