2 Injured in Colorado High School Shooting, Suspected Student Gunman Dead

At least two people have been shot at Arapahoe High School in Colorado today and teh suspected shooter is dead, according to sheriff’s deputies.

At least two people have been shot at Arapahoe High School today according to sheriff’s deputies, reports KDVR.

The ages of the two students shot were 15 and 16, and one of them is in critical condition after being shot in the head. As of 1:50 p.m., Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson confirmed that the suspected shooter was dead, and appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Robinson continued to say the student was armed with a shotgun, and that the specific teacher the student had targeted left the building safely. One of the students who was injured suffered injuries after confronting the suspect as he walked through the school, Robinson confirmed.

SWAT teams assisted students in evacuating the school.
