Oakland Mob Smashes Windshields, 100 Arrested

During Friday's rioting, a holster and gun were ripped from the belt of an Oakland officer. Another officer was struck by a car.

Oakland police arrested more than 100 rioters who smashed car windows and confronted officers, following the sentencing of former BART officer Johannes Mehserle on Friday evening, reports SFGate.com.

About 200 demonstrators surged into the streets as darkness fell, following a rally in support of Oscar Grant, the man fatally shot by Mehserle Jan. 1, 2009.
