Paramus Officer Hopes She's 'Coming Back To Work'

Officer Rachel Morgan wrote a note to Acting Police Chief Christopher Brock communicating her desire to return to patrol, writing "Tell me I'm coming back to work,"

In a hand-written note to her boss, Paramus (N.J.) Police Officer Rachel Morgan communicated her desire to return to patrol, writing "Tell me I'm coming back to work," reports the Paramus Post.

Officer Morgan, who wrote the note to Acting Police Chief Christopher Brock, is one of several officers who received layoff notices last summer. Her future with the department is uncertain, reports the Cliffview Pilot.

Officer Morgan is "fully conscious, alert and able to communicate with us by writing," according to a Paramus P.D. statement.

The officer attempted to pull over Michael Carmody shortly after the Super Bowl. Carmody shot the officer several times, including twice in the chest. Her ballistic vest likely saved her life.
