A federal jury is now deliberating on the case of a former Portland Police recruit who accused a fellow officer of using excessive force and sued the department for lost wages and benefits.

Former Officer Lindsay Hunt initially reported alleged violations by her field training officer, Quency Ho. Another former recruit, Erin Lewis, also testified about officer misconduct during the legal proceeding.

Here's the excerpt from The Oregonian about what Hunt reported:

She had reported that Ho tried to kick open the door of a home without cause to enter it, pointed his gun at the suspect through a broken window and then used excessive force when taking him into custody. She also said Ho, in another case, tampered with evidence and hindered prosecution by telling a witness to an attempted assault on Northeast Schuyler to get rid of a knife found at the scene.
