Detroit Police Station Shooter Wanted Suicide by Cop

Lamar Deshea Moore, 38, had been implicated in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a runaway teenage girl, when he opened fire on officers inside Northwestern station.

When he entered the Detroit Police Departments' Northwestern station on Sunday with a pistol-grip shotgun and only a few rounds, Lamar Deshea Moore likely wanted to a "suicide by cop" ending, Detroit Police investigators suspect.

Moore, 38, had been implicated in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a runaway teenage girl, reports the Detroit Free Press.

Also, Moore's relative Venson Robert Hibbit was sentenced Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court in a double homicide that occurred at Detroit auto repair shop. His sentence is 30-60 years in the homicides plus two years for a weapons charge.
