California City of Bell May Eliminate PD Amid Scandal

The Bell Police Officers' Assn. is preparing to dispute the decision, saying it could hurt public safety and likely not bring the desired savings.

A Los Angeles County audit reccomended the city of Bell needs to make drastic cuts, including potentially eliminating its police department and contracting with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department amid the deepening scandal in that city, reports the Los Angeles Times.
