The man suspected of fatally shooting Riverside (Calif.) Police Officer Ryan Bonaminio likely used the officers' duty weapon, following a physical scuffle, reports the Los Angeles Times.
At a Wednesday afternoon press conference, Riverside police said they found a fingerprint and the officer's duty weapon inside the stolen, ditched semi-truck linked to Earl Ellis Green, who was arrested Tuesday evening.
Green, 44, of Rubidoux was arrested by police and FBI agents at a Target store in Riverside on Tuesday at 8 p.m. He has been charged with murder and a parole violation.
Green has an extensive criminal record going back three decades, including convictions for domestic violence, battery of a police officer, selling drugs and vehicle theft, the Los Angeles Times is also reporting.
