Officers with the Pittsburgh (PA) Police Department are now mourning the death of a K-9 who had served that community for more than a decade.
The agency said on its Facebook page, "It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of retired Pittsburgh Police K-9 Bazer.
The post continued to note that K-9 Bazer spent the last several years in retirement with his handler—retired Pittsburgh Police Officer Cathy Swearingen and her family.
The social media post ended with a simple message: "RIP K-9 Bazer."
