The Chicago Police Department announced Wednesday that it has seven new cases of officers suffering from COVID-19, bringing the number of cases in the department to 475.

The Chicago Police Department announced Wednesday that it has seven new cases of officers suffering from COVID-19, bringing the number of cases in the department to 475.

According to NBC News, 453 officers and 22 civilian employees have been infected.

A total of 480 employees have reported positive test results but the department’s medical section has yet to confirm five of those cases.
