LAPD Officers Now Required to Cover Faces in Public

In an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, all officers with the Los Angeles Police Department are now required to wear masks while in public.

In an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, all officers with the Los Angeles Police Department are now required to wear masks while in public.

According to KFI-Radio, Chief Michel Moore said Thursday, "Effective today, you may see your local LAPD officers wearing either surgical masks or non-medical face coverings while in public.".

On Wednesday the LAPD reported that 27 officers had tested positive for COVID-19.
