3 Finalists for Chicago Police Chief Position Identified

The names on the board’s list given to Mayor Lori Lightfoot for consideration are Ernest Cato, a CPD deputy chief; Kristen Ziman, chief of police in Aurora, IL; and David Brown, former Dallas police chief.

The Chicago Police Board has chosen three finalists to potentially lead the city’s police force, sources familiar with the process told the Chicago Tribune.

The names on the board’s list given to Mayor Lori Lightfoot for consideration are Ernest Cato, a CPD deputy chief; Kristen Ziman, chief of police in Aurora, IL; and David Brown, former Dallas police chief.

Lightfoot has said she expects to make her choice from among those on the board’s list.
