2 Texas Officers Wounded Responding to Home Break-In Call, Suspect Killed

One of the officers was wounded in both legs and the other officer was shot in the foot.

Two Georgetown, TX, police officers were shot and wounded and the suspect was killed during a shootout sparked by a home break-in call Tuesday.

Two officers were hit in the shootout but neither was seriously wounded, officials told the Austin American-Statesman. One of the officers was wounded in both legs and the other officer was shot in the foot.

Police responded to the home after getting two 911 calls, said Roland Waits, a police spokesman.

Two officers arrived at the scene and the man shot at them outside the house, police said. Both officers shot back at the man, police said.
