President Donald Trump has ordered Customs and Border Protection elite tactical teams to relocate from the southern border to a host of cities across America to assist in the apprehension of illegal immigrants.

According to the Wall Street Journal, agents are expected to be sent to so-called "sanctuary cities" such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, New Orleans, and Detroit.

The move comes as local authorities in those places continue to refuse to help in the apprehension and deportation of individuals living in the United States illegally.

The deployment of the teams will run from February through May and will involve high-risk operations targeting individuals who are known to be violent, many of whom have extensive criminal records.
