An officer with the Memphis (TN) Police Department is in critical condition after another vehicle slammed into their patrol car.

An officer with the Memphis (TN) Police Department is in critical condition after another vehicle slammed into their patrol car.

According to CBS News, the driver of the vehicle—identified as Cadarius Davis—is suspected to having been driving under the influence with two small children in the car when her vehicle struck a squad car attending to downed power lines early Sunday morning.

The unidentified officer was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Davis was taken into custody and is expected to make a court appearance on Monday.
