EOTech, Safran Optics 1 to Present Night Vision and Thermal Imaging Class at SHOT Show

The class covers the basics of night vision technology and how it works, the generations of night vision, components and their importance, as well as the science of thermography and real world applications of thermal imagery in law enforcement.

EOTech and Safran Optics 1 will present a class on night vision and thermal imaging through the Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) at SHOT Show later this month in Las Vegas.

The class titled " Night Vision 101 and Introduction to Thermal Imaging Technology" is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 23 in the Marcello 4404 room in the Sands Convention Center.

The class covers the basics of night vision technology and how it works, the generations of night vision, components and their importance, as well as the science of thermography and real world applications of thermal imagery in law enforcement.

Instructors for this class are Mark Cockman, Anthony Mullinax, and Capt. Paul Cunningham. Cockman is a former Utah law enforcement officer who now works as a sales manager for L3 Harris/EOTech. Mullinax is a U.S. Army veteran and a SWAT operator for the King County Sheriff's Office. Cunningham served with Delaware State Police for 23 years before retiring, and he is currently the owner of a law enforcement sales, marketing, and training company.

POLICE sponsors the LEEP program in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
