Suspect Flees Traffic Stop, Drags One Officer and Strikes Another

A trooper with the Indiana State Police and an officer with the Hobart Police Department were injured when a suspect fled a traffic stop, initially dragging the trooper who was halfway inside the suspect vehicle and then grazing the local officer who had set up a roadblock a short distance away.

A trooper with the Indiana State Police and an officer with the Hobart Police Department were injured when a suspect fled a traffic stop, initially dragging the trooper who was halfway inside the suspect vehicle and then grazing the local officer who had set up a roadblock a short distance away.

According to CBS News, police pursued the suspect vehicle and stopped the car in a parking lot, whereupon the suspect fled on foot.

A K-9 was deployed and the subject was apprehended after a struggle during which one of the arresting officers suffered a broken hand.
