An officer with the Milwaukee Police Department exercised some "officer discretion" earlier in October when he pulled over a woman for not having proper vehicle registration. During the traffic stop, he observed two children in the back who were not in appropriate child-safety car seats.

According to CNN, Officer Kevin Zimmerman asked Andrella "Lashae" Jackson why the kids didn't have proper seats and was met with the reply, "With bills coming up and winter coming up, I have to get coats and boots and shoes for my kids."

Zimmerman drove to a nearby Walmart, purchased two seats, and went to Jackson's home and installed them in her car. He even stopped by the department to grab some books and stickers for the kids.
