The Tallahassee (FL) Police Department is going to get a new home as city commissioners have narrowed down the search for a new headquarters to two buildings already owned by the city.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, one location is a shuttered shopping mall and the other is an old wastewater treatment facility.

The final locations of the police station came from a list of 68 submitted by the public earlier this year.

The next step in the selection process is a cost analysis. After a final decision is made, the architect will develop conceptual drawings of the new headquarters.
