New York Officer Struck by Vehicle at Traffic Stop

An officer with the New York Police Department was struck by a car during a traffic stop in Brooklyn on Saturday.

An officer with the New York Police Department was struck by a car during a traffic stop in Brooklyn on Saturday.

According to ABC News, police say the driver of the suspect vehicle leaped from the car and fled on foot. The vehicle then rolled forward and pinned the officer against his patrol vehicle.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for undisclosed injuries to his legs.

The suspect—whose name has not been released—was later arrested.
