The chief of police for the Nashville (MI) Police Department died in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday morning as he was driving to work.

The chief of the Nashville (MI) Police Department died in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday morning as he was driving to work, according to Nashville Village President Mike Kenyon.

According to WILX, the vehicle driven by 59-year-old Chris Allen Koster left the roadway and collided with a tree, resulting in injuries that authorities said were not survivable.

No other people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
