A retired NYPD sergeant completed suicide early Wednesday morning. His wife discovered his body and reported it to local police.

According to the New York Post, 49-year-old Jose Pabon shot himself to death in a shed on the property of his his home in Goshen, which lies about 60 miles northwest of the city.

Pabon is the 11th active or retired cop to take his life this year
