Federal authorities say they have arrested a Florida truck driver in Indianapolis just days before he planned to "shoot up" a church in Memphis, Tennessee.

According to the Indianapolis Star, authorities say the truck driver—identified as 38-year-old Thomas Matthew McVicker planned on committing the mass killing on Thursday, but a friend of his notified authorities in time to have the plot thwarted.

"I was thinking about shooting a church up but I am afraid how it will affect my family in the flesh after I'm gone," McVicker said in a text message to that friend, who subsequently contacted the FBI.

According to reports, McVicker takes medication for schizophrenia and occasionally uses cocaine and methamphetamine.
