Officers with the Summerville (SC) Police Department saw that there was an imminent danger to kids at a local daycare facility who were attempting to get to their parents through a street flooded with rainwater.

The agency posted to Facebook, "Today, during heavy rainfall, a local roadway became heavily flooded. Summerville Police Officers who responded to the scene advised that the roadway water was waist-deep and that it was too dangerous to travel on."

The post continued, "Parents were unable to get to their children at Springview Academy to pick them up from daycare, so multiple SPD Officers jumped into action and we utilized our Emergency Rescue Vehicle to safely transport children to their parents, who were staging nearby. We want to also thank Dorchester County Water Rescue for assisting us with their rescue vehicle as well!"
